DEAINA M. BROWN, ESQ., LLM. CHILD AND FAMILY LAW
Fighter, Negotiator, Litigator, and Friend are the titles that best describe Attorney Deaina M. Brown. As a Managing Attorney with The Law Office of Deaina M. Brown, PLLC.
At the age of 16, Deaina attended Florida State University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Criminology with a Concentration in Juvenile Justice. At the time of her graduation, she was invited and accepted the invitation to become a member of the Seminole Torchbearers, an organization at Florida State University that recognizes outstanding leadership and service.
Upon completion of her Bachelors at the age of 19, she went on to the University of Florida Levin College of Law where she received her Juris Doctor, JD, with a focus in International Law and Juvenile Law. After becoming a licensed attorney, Deaina then returned to Loyola University, Chicago to receive her Master of Laws, LL.M., in Child and Family Law with a focus in International Relations. Since the commencement of law school, Deaina has traveled internationally to multiple countries to include, East Africa, South Africa, France, Jamaica, Mexico, and the Bahamas as well as domestically to multiple cities in the United States. During her travels, she enjoys studying the different legal systems and speaking to groups, and encouraging individuals to achieve their individual professional and personal goals.
In the Fall of 2001, and while a law student at the University of Florida, Deaina received the Book Award in Trial Practice, an award bestowed upon the most outstanding student, or trial partners, in each course. She further gained extensive trial skills as a Certified Legal Intern with the Gator TeamChild program at the University of Florida and during her years as an Assistant Public Defender. Since opening her private practice in October 2006, Deaina has secured and maintained multiple State contracts in Felony, Misdemeanor, Juvenile Delinquency, and Juvenile Dependency Divisions.
Deaina is active with the Florida Bar Association, the National Bar Association, the Virgil Hawkins Florida Chapter of the National Bar Association, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., and other local community groups. She is admitted to practice in the State of Florida and Federally in the District of the United States for the Southern District of Florida. She enjoys speaking at conferences that address the issues of the family, as well as other topics. She resides in West Palm Beach, FL.
